PERFORMING ARTIST

Hugo Brument Scuderi is a performer, director, choreographer, and dance educator from Paris, France. He trained in musical theatre at Jacob’s Pillow, Broadway Dance Center, and Rick Odums School.

Recently, Hugo has had the pleasure of collaborating with many New York–based choreographers and directors on the development of new creative projects such as Bodies of Work, Zoe Sarnack (dir./chor. Jennifer Jancuska), and Three Summers of Lincoln (dir. Christopher Ashley, chor. Jon Rua & Daniel Watts).

 

His favorite regional theatre credits include In the Heights, On Your Feet!, and West Side Story. Commercially, he has worked as a dancer for Disney and as an associate choreographer for Uniqlo.

 

Associated with Misty Dance Theater (@misty_dance_theater), Hugo also writes and directs films. His latest short, Depending on the Music, was selected at the Richmond International Film Festival and is currently distributed on French national television. Hugo is currently developing two new projects: a feature film titled The Act of Waiting and Dancing Cinema, an evening-length dance work produced by Misty Dance Theater.

Hugo acted in SOCIAL-SECURITY. The first short film he directed in 2021.
